Welcome to the Player Development!
Due to the elimination of the U14 National Camp the following changes have been made:
1. Affiliates (SAHA, CAHA, SAHOF & PVAHA) will no longer hold tryouts for the U13 age category and as a District we will no longer participate in the Select 13 event at Kent State.
2. Affiliates will host tryouts at the U14 age level and select players (2G, 12F, 6D) to participate in a
District run U14 camp. Basically the District U13 camp is being changed to the District U14 camp.
3. The top 20 players (2G, 12F, 6D) from the U14 camp will be invited to participate in a Select 14
event at Kent State in conjunction with other USA Hockey Districts including Atlantic, Mid-Am,
Pacific, Massachusetts and others.
4. We will no longer participate in the Select 15 event at Kent State.
5. The SE District National Camp tryouts will be for the U15, U16 and U17 age levels only.
6. The tryout format/allocations will stay the same at the U15 & U16 age levels.
7. At the U17 age level we will reduce the roster sizes (and the Affiliate allocations).
a. We will maintain 4 teams however the number of players per team will be reduced to
17 from 20: 2-goaltenders, 9-forwards and 6- defense
b. After the initial round robin games the total of 68 players will be cut to 2 teams of 17 for
the blue/grey game
