As the National Governing Body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States, USA Hockey’s mission is to promote the growth of hockey in America and to provide the best possible experience for all participants. SAHA, as an affiliate of USA Hockey, facilitates the local associations' endeavors to grow the sport of hockey in the South. Benefits of insurance, local tournaments, coaching education, referee education, and play development are just a few areas that support our members. (USA Member Benefits).

2012 – 2013 Membership Grant Outline and Application – this grant was created to help your association with GROWTH AND RETENTION. We have $20,000 to distribute within our affiliate. Applications are due September 15th, 2012

Hockey Weekend Across America – Saturday, Feb 19th – USA Hockey is looking for 200 rinks to offer a Try Hockey for Free Program, introducing over 4,000 kids to the sport of hockey. OUR SAHA GOAL – 12 RINKS. USAH will provide 40 jerseys for this event and tons of information about how to market the event, etc!
